"Straight To The Point"
Youth Exchange

The Youth exchange « CRE8: Straight to the point » took place in Luxembourg during a period of 7 days and involved 40 young people of the  Czech Republic, Macedonia, Estonia, Italy and Luxembourg. The main theme of  the project was Youth Entrepreneurship. Our aim is to promote  entrepreneurship among young people and encourage the entrepreneurial mindset in them. Entrepreneurship is one of the priorities of the youth policy  of the European Union and as the young people nowadays remain very passive, waiting for solutions ready for being offered to them, we believe that it is very important to promote a proactive and creative attitude among the young people, to motivate them to take their own initiatives and to transform their  ideas into actions.

This exchange allowed to these young people to better understand what it  means to be an entrepreneur and how they might become entrepreneur  Themselves. We do not limit the entrepreneurship to a simple business affair,  but also to a creative activity in the field of the art, of the sport, of the tattoo  scene, of the clothing industry or in the field of non-governmental organizations. There are many young entrepreneurs who made a job of their artistic passion  and this is what we would want to show to the participants. The exchange allowed the young people to explore the different aspects of  entrepreneurship, to define the characteristics of an entrepreneur and to discover their own ideas which they could afterward transform into real actions. The young people were informed about various forms of support for  young entrepreneurs and they will receive basics of project management. The  Erasmus + program was also presented as a tool for promotion of  entrepreneurship.

The purpose of the project is to encourage young people to realize that the entrepreneurial spirit is not only embraced by economists or great businessmen and that entrepreneurship could actually become an option for them. The increasing unemployment of the young people is a problem which becomes more and more serious, particularly now because of the economical crisis and we believe that entrepreneurial skills could help to increase the employability of them. A few of the participants could maybe decide afterward to create their own jobs. The program of the youth exchange used different methodologies; the presentation of practices in the different countries, discussions and brainstorming workshops, simulation games, practical exercises, case studies, etc. Our purpose is also to involve young local entrepreneurs and allow them to share their experiences with the participants of the exchange. Important year part of the project will also be the visibility of the results and the promotion of the entrepreneurial spirit with the public, to give the possibility to a maximum of people to inform themselves on this very interesting topic.
