« Our life’s a Theater » is an international innovative training seminar that was held in Differdange, Luxembourg. It brought together 30 European youth workers. The proposed seminar is an idea that we developed while the last training we organized in January 2016 after a lot of discussions about the intercultural and social problems that European Union has to face with the refugee crisis that is happening now. It gave the opportunity to young leaders, youth workers, volunteers and volunteers active in the world of youth to learn or improve on intercultural learning through theater-forum. Forum theater is a fantastic tool that will empower the participants and give them the opportunity to pay attention, to think, to react, to express their opinions and views on the subjects and the Millennium Development Goals, Challenges global, European citizenship, youth participation, refugee crisis, racism, social problems and much more ….
In all these subjects interculturalism played a big role and non-formal learning principles and practice are reflected throughout the project. They had the opportunity to experience intercultural wealth through interactive methods and using the infinite creativity of the forum theater. Leaders created the short film of the entire development of the project activities. They will then be used at local and international level and by partners to increase the visibility of the project and at the same time to motivate new youth worker and youth for future involvement. Youth worker shared, showcase their cultures and using intercultural dialogue as a tool to increase awareness of their European identity. During the seminar a lot of effort was put on the process and reflection.
